Legal Assistance
Furnishing legal services to indigent persons, in accordance with section 495 of the New York Judiciary Law, in order to provide assistance to immigrants with their needs regarding residency status, including researching, planning, preparing and submitting the necessary paperwork to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security and other government agencies as necessary;
Specifically, legal assistance includes for citizenship, permanent resident status, TPS, DACA, T and U visa, VAWA, family petition, other immigration reliefs and benefits for vulnerable segments of the migrant community and navigation of social services for migrants.
